Grady Diangana
Very impressed with this lad. Seems absolutely fearless and made a huge impact today.

Rice and Diangana; dare I say we have a proper academy again?

Wouldn't surprise me if Burke ends up a PL player.

Re: Grady Diangana
All 3 seem to have poor injury records so far but do show promise....looks like Cullen will join Burke in a lower league career though

Re: Grady Diangana
Marcus Browne scored again for Oxford tonight,

Are Browne, Holland and Silva good enough to break through. I thought they were more highly regarded?.

Grady has taken his chance though.

Agreed....it just goes to show with the u21's losing 4-0 to Yeovil Town tonight

Re: Grady Diangana
different game now torino

squad strength is higher across the board compared to previously meaning it's harder for these kids to get chances

also the money on offer per place means there are no meaningless end of season games to blood kids in anymore either

Re: Grady Diangana
And they all broke into the team a LONG time ago, whereas nowadays it is more difficult for a younger player to break in when still in his teens. Bringing Ince up from 32 years ago is a tad desperate though torino! lol!!

Re: Grady Diangana
But plenty of references implying "the kid" "youngster" "young lad" as if a child protégé? I know its all relative. Maybe 20 and a half is younger these days with less chance to break through from youth team levels..... its all I'm suggesting others like Cole, Carrick, Lampard, Ince and Ferdinand were younger when fixtures in the 1st team

Re: Grady Diangana
I think he has done very well so far but note he was 20 last march so not the 18 yr old many think they are praising

Re: Grady Diangana
He’s obviously impressed enough to be given a chance by Pellegrini and he’s more than taken it. It’s great to see a young attacking player running at players with no fear and creating problems for the opposition.

The Yarmolenko injury was a huge blow but hopefully it will ultimately lead to Diangana becoming a big fixture in the first team squad. Add Rice and Diop and that’s three quality youngsters we appear to have which is great to see.

Waiting for him to do a Rice and want a better salary, which our chairmen won't stump up the cash for.

Re: Grady Diangana
Can't impress enough what a difference it makes when players take opposing players on. Unfortunately it seems to get coached out of players in favour of retaining possession (which normally means passing backwards) .
He's a really positive player and linking well with others around him. Really refreshing and shows you don't always need to spend millions for players in every position.

Re: Grady Diangana
the one thing that really impressed me about him on saturday apart from his ability was his reaction to a 50/50 decision going against him in the corner in the second half ,just got up wiped himself down and got on with it .
